A Brief Introduction
Rural Reconstruction Organization is a registered charitable organization in Tirunelveli District of Tamilnadu in India.Our organization was established with dedicated and committed individuals together. RURAL RECONSTRUCTION ORGANISATION is working for Rural Poor Communities in Tirunelveli District for past 15 years. It has better experience in organizing people’s organisations like self help groups and federations among Women and Youth.
Main Objectives
- To promote and undertake developmentactivities for the needy and weaker sections of the Society.
- To promote Community Health.
- To promote people’s Organization for Sustainable livelihood.
- To empower the target groups socially and economically
- To undertake education for needy poor children.
- To assist and undertake agricultural activities.
- To create a resource center for the society and to under take training, research and development.
- To establish technical education centers, crèches, child health centers, women health clinic, elders support centers and physically handicapped rehabilitation centers.
- To collaborate with govt. agencies and NGOs for better integration.
- To promote women federation for economic empowerment.
- To act as a catalyst for pollution control and environment protection.
Back Ground
RRO presently working in all Blocks of Tirunelveli District. It has been administering with experience staff strength of 33 persons. RRO has formed about 2140 self help groups among women in the above areas. These groups have been formed federations and equipped through continuous training inputs.
RRO is facilitating the groups for savings and, credit, Micro enterprises, Environment and Sanitation, AIDS prevention, Disabled development, women and child health, Youth development and other village development activities with assistance of Tamilnadu Corporation for women in Development; Our Organization has developed regular contacts and relationship with departments and institutions in district and state level.
